Valdosta is situated in the coastal plain of Georgia, so it has a virtually flat landscape. It lies at 230 mi/370 km in the south of Atlanta and almost in the same distance from the north of Orlando, Florida. Valdosta belongs to Lowndes County and it is the county seat. The city is also known as the Azalea city, due to the plant that grows in profusion there. It goes without saying that Valdosta is known for the big sporting activity in and around the city.
Dirtfarm is an awesome dirt park situated in Folkston, near Valdosta, Georgia. The place is incredible and perfect for quad biking. Trails are urban and man-made with a length of 5 mi/8 km. These trails include a flat track, a 1 mi/1.6 km long motocross track, a 1000 ft/305 m sand drag strip and mud bogs.
The facility lies at an elevation of 50 to 150 ft/15.2 to 46 m and is opened for practice on Wednesdays from 1 pm to dark and on weekends from 10 am to 5 pm. The trail’s features are amazing. They consist of berms, small and large jumps, trees, loose dirt and dust.
You will also come across some single tracks and pretty big driver traffic, as the park is very popular in the area. In order to ride your quad bike, you will have to pay a fee per rider and if you plan to camp, you should know that it is not free. Keep under consideration that credit cards are not anymore allowed.
Due to the consistency of the soil and the conditions, the terrain is most suitable for amateurs, but experts and novices can have a nice time driving. If you plan to camp, there are amenities offered, such as a spray wash station, a loading ramp, a parts and accessories store and hot showers in restrooms. If you want to enjoy a nice drive, it is recommended to spend the entire day at the park.
