Brenzone, Garda Lake
In the Province of Verona, in the Italian region of Veneto, the town of Brenzone is located on the eastern shore of Lake Garda. Brenzone is especially suited for this sport, due to its favorable climate and terrain conditions.
The climate in Tulcea County is characterized by humid, subtropical weather, with rainy winters and minimum temperatures of -4 °C/25 °F in January and February, and hot, humid summers with an average temperature of 27 °C /81 °F in July and August. Because of its large size, the lake is divided in two subgroups, where in the north part of the lake, the water is fresh and in the south part, the water is salty. Razim Lake has clean, fresh water with a maximum depth of 11.4 ft/3.5 m.
One of the upcoming sports in the area and a unique way to discover the wide lake is kite surfing. Not far from Jurilovca Village, the local kite surfers are already enjoying the flat waters of the lake, while launching their kites from a grassy and sandy beach. The best wind direction is coming from north, northeast, south, southwest and the best season is from April to November.
Kite surfing in Razim Lake is suitable for both beginner and advanced kite surfers. Since there are no schools or rentals operating on the spot for the time being, it is best to come prepared in regards of gear and if you are a beginner, you can either book private lessons or ask for help from one of the locals. They will be more than happy to help. Kite surfers should be careful of jet skis and boats.
