The launch area is beside the road, on the west side of the peninsula. Admire the stunning views of the surrounding area, while you are flying through the air. The landing altitude is at 87 m/285.4 ft above sea level and the landing point is found at 51°37’15” (51.6211)N; 8°32’38” (8.5439)W. The optimum wind direction is from the west, southwest and the ideal time to visit the spot is during spring and summer months.
It is advisable to avoid landing on the Golf Course, as it is a private property. Keep in mind that it is a very windy location, so be cautious. Finally, Old Head of Kinsale is appropriate for more experienced pilots.
