Lighthouse is an interesting spot, feasible to welcome all levels of surfers. In case you are beginners and wanna try your abilities at surfing, there is no reason to worry. There is a surf club at a short distance from the spot, where you may rent the appropriate equipment or arrange your package of lessons.
In this spot surfers really enjoy the waves coming from both left and right directions. Swell starts working at less than 1 m/3.3 ft and holds up to 2 m+/6.6 ft+. The best swell direction is South and South-East. In normal days the length of the waves is short, but in good days their length fluctuates between 50 m/164 ft and 150 m/492 ft. More specifically, the waves from the right are short and hollow, while the waves from the left are pretty longer. Additionally, the preferable wind direction is when coming from the North-West and West. There is also tide dependency, as the best tide position is mid and high. The temperature of the water averages 28°C/82.4°F.
Surfers should be very careful during weekends, as the beach gets full of people who wanna enjoy the beach and the sea. There are two main periods, when surfing at Lighthouse is really cool. The first one lasts from December to March and the second lasts between July and September. Lighthouse is a very good spot and absolutely worth visiting!!!
