Isla Verde is a beautiful tourist resort with many lovely hotels along the coastline and a variety of cozy restaurants, nice bars and shops in a short walk from the beach. The location features two sites for kiteboarding. The first site, is situated at the end of the beach and mostly accommodates the beginners. The second one and the most popular is at La Plage.
Boarders are able to practice freestyle and bump and jump styles. The spot has steady winds and offers the right conditions for a number of watersports, including surfing and windsurfing. The swell sizes usually start from 1 m-1.5 m/3 ft-5 ft and the ideal wind direction is from the east and northeast. In addition, the best period for waves is from October to July. Bear in mind that the average water temperature is 28°C / 82.4°F, which means that you can kiteboard at any time of the year.
Isla Verde is suitable for boarders of all skill levels. In case you are a beginner, there is no reason to worry, as there are many kiteboarding schools with professional instructors, who will help you tame the waves. Note: be careful of jellyfish.
