Donner Ski Ranch, Nevada County
Donner Ski Ranch is a resort located on Donner Summit, in the Tahoe National Forest, Nevada County, California, USA. The area has been used for skiing since 1939.
Buck Hill is one of the three ski areas, situated within the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Although it is a small ski area, Buck Hill has produced numerous world-class racers, such as Lindsey Vonn.
Today, many people spend quality time in this place, exercising alpine skiing. For your activity, the resort offers a vertical drop of 245 ft (75 m), a top elevation of 1195 ft (364 m) and a base elevation of 950 ft (290 m). Although, winters in Minnesota are cold, the snowfall is relatively low for a ski area and that’s why artificial snow is often utilized to maintain the ski slopes.
There are 16 trails at Buck Hill, allowing both novices and experts to perform their favorite activity. 6 trails are formed for beginners, 6 for intermediate skiers and the other 4 trails are at experts disposal. You also find 2 quad chairlifts, 1 triple chairlift, 3 rope tows and 2 magic carpets.
Buck Hill is also lighted for night skiing. So, choose to spend your winter in this resort and you will never regret it!!!
