Bermuda, also known as the Bermudas, is situated off the east coast of the United States. Horseshoe Bay with the amazing pink sand and the crystal clear waters, is definitely the most popular beach of the island. It is located in Southampton Parish, being an excellent spot for a number of watersports.
Horseshoe Bay welcomes surfers of all abilities and skill levels. It is an exposed beach-break that offers both right and left hand waves. The best tide position is mid and high tide and the ideal tide movement is rising tides. In addition, the swell size starts working at 1-1.5 m/3-5 ft and holds up to 3 m/10 ft. Furthermore, offshore winds blow from the north and the optimum swell direction is from the south and southwest. In summer the wind blows offshore at 1.5%, in autumn it blows at 2%, in winter at 0.9% and in spring at 1.3%. Last but not least, be careful of rocks.
