Impossible beach is situated in Pecatu village, at the southern end of the island. This beautiful rocky beach is a great choice for experienced surfers to enjoy the world class waves. Its name derived from the difficulty of its access, as it has a challenging hurdle. The location is famous for the stunning natural landscape along with the white stone hill and the breathtaking panoramic views, giving into the Indian Ocean.
The reef break features big, powerful and barrel waves. The swell size starts working at 1 m/3 ft and holds up to 2.5 m/8 ft. The optimum time for waves here is during dry season, especially from April to August. In addition, offshore winds blow from the east and the southeast and the ideal swell direction is from the southwest.
Note that, the best tide position is all tides. In summer the wind blows offshore at 34%, in autumn it blows at 77%, in winter at 98% and in spring at 71%. Be careful of rocks. Last but not least, if you find yourself here, do not miss the opportunity to visit the Uluwatu Temple, one of the most important temples in Bali.
