Jenner is a mountain in the district of Berchtesgaden, really close to the borders with Austria. This amazing spot, located at 159 km/98 mi in the southeast of Munich and next to the Berchtesgaden National Park offers endless possibilities for winter sports and not only.

The height of 1870 m/6135 ft and the size of 30 ha/0.30 km² of pistes surface make this place the largest winter sports destination in south Germany. Having the primacy of the longest continuous downhill in the Eastern Alps with 5.1 km/3 mi from the top to the base station, a fascinating time is guaranteed. 23 ha/0.23 km² out of the 30 ha/0.30 km² are artificially snowed by 83 snow-guns and 15 advanced propeller snow-makers.

At the base station you will find many facilities, such as child ski lifts, winter sports schools and restaurants with great view. For security reasons the top of the mountain is not accessible through the winter months due to the fact that it is also not accessible for the clearing vehicles. The recommended time of the year to visit Jenner is between December and April.

With so many different pistes, you will find exactly what you need, whether you are a beginner or an expert. All the equipment you need to have, if you don’t already own yours, is available at pretty cheap prices by the snowboard schools of the area. Do not miss to visit the National Park, a 210 km²/81.08 mi² paradise forest with extremely beautiful landscapes.
