Situated in the center of the Atlantic Ocean, Cabo Verde is an archipelago of ten amazing volcanic islands. In the remote island of Sal, in the northern part of the island, an epic adventure is about to begin.
Getting ready for its first stop for 2015, the American Windsurfing Tour is organizing the Goya Pro Cabo Verde event that is shaping up to be the latest AWT edition of the ‘Clash of the Titans.’ Set in an amazing spot in Sal Island that offers world class waves, strong winds and guaranteed sunshine, the Goya Pro Cabo Verde, will definitely be a high adrenaline experience.
Looking at the list with the confirmed Pro riders participating in the event, we have: 2 x AWT Pro Champions (Camille x2, Kevin), 4 x PWA Wave Champions (Kauli x 3, Francisco, Kevin, Marcilio), 6 x Ho’okipa Champions (Levi, Morgan, Bernd x2, Francisco, Kauli, Boujmaa) and 1 x Epic showdown.
The schedule of the event depends upon the weather conditions and competition is open for both amateur and pro riders. There will also be many extra activities running throughout the event, including lot’s of music and great food, beach cleaning, island tours and the Nos Mar Ocean Awareness festival through out town and at Ponta Preta.
