The 4th Act of the Extreme Sailing Series 2016 is getting close already and with the success of the first 3 Acts, this 4th one is anticipated to be equally successful. This time, the host is Hamburg, Germany, on the River Elbe. This July from the 28th to the 31st of the month, all the sailing action will take place in the Hafen City area of Hamburg.
Strong tides, shifty winds and a busy traffic-wise stretch of the river are some of the course’s characteristics that will have the sailing teams getting their action plans together. It’s worth mentioning that last year’s Extreme Sailing Act in Hamburg had lots of surprises for both spectators and sailors. Thunderstorms, crashes, even a capsize. One thing is sure, this year all crews have lots to consider about.
The best place to watch the 4th Act of the Extreme Sailing Series is Hafen City and the Elbe Philharmonic Hall. From there you will have perfect view of the GC32 crews battling-it out for the Series’ Title.
What else?
As in previous legs of the Series, if you can’t make it to Hamburg you can catch all the action on the Extreme Sailing Series™ website ‘LIVE’ page, providing live streaming of the SAP Sailing Analytics etc.
Also, follow the event on the social media like twitter, using handle @extremesailing and using the hashtag #extremesailing.
See you in beautiful Hamburg!
