Alp 2500 is a complex of ski resorts in La Cerdanya, Catalonia, in the Pyrenees mountains of northeastern Spain. It includes the two towns of La Molina and Masella, whose two respective ski areas are joined to form Alp 2500.
La Molina is a ski resort in the municipality of Alp in Girona. The temperature is about 1 to 17°C/33.80 to 62.60°F throughout the year with February being the coldest and August the warmest month. There are 16 total lifts like cable cars, chairs, baby and drag lifts.
The first lift is at 1700 m/5577 ft and the top lift at 2445 m/8021 ft. The vertical drop is 875 m/2870 ft with 40 km/25 mi of total ride area. The artificial snow making coverage is at 42%. Many championships take place here, like the fourth round of the 2012 European Snow Shoeing Cup.
The resort has been used for the IPC Alpine Skiing World Cup in the past. The advanced alpine skiers will find more than 20 difficult and about 5 very difficult tracks. The beginner will find group or individual lessons and certified training staff for his first steps. There is also a variety of services like playrooms, cafes, and mountain huts.
