Vall de Nuria (The Valley of Núria) is a south opening valley, coming down from the crest of the Pyrenees within the municipality of Queralbs. According to legends, Saint Giles hid in a nearby cave a holy image of the Virgin. Vall de Nuria ski resort is accessible by the rack railway, or by foot.
Temperatures vary from 8°C/46.40°F to 24°C/75.20°F with January being the coldest month. You can go there either by walking or by taking the Coma del Clot cable car and then slide on the Les Creus piste to the snowpark. Vall de Nuria snowpark is a small park, 550 m/1804 ft long, with rails, rainbows, boxes and big jumps. It hosts a line including two jumps and three rails or boxes. The first jump is about 10 m/32 ft high and the second 15 m/49 ft at max. There is also a big square with 7 jibbing slots, and a house with jumps on its walls.
You can move around the pistes on two button lifts, one chairlift, one cable car and one magic carpet. At the resort, you can find a variety of services like picnic zones, children play park area, exhibitions, a sanctuary, auditorium, restaurants and cafes. Visit the local club, and get any help needed from the qualified instructors of the resort. You can hire your skis and buy your equipment from nearby stores.
