Bear Valley is a ski area located near Angels Camp, on highway 4, between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite, approximately 3 hours southeast of Sacramento, California, USA.
Bear Valley is the perfect place for cross country skiing. Cross Country Ski area is located in the heart of central Sierra between the Mokelumne and Carson Iceberg Wilderness areas. It is an area specialised in cross country skiing.
Bear Valley Cross Country has a trail system over 3000 ac/12.14 km². Facilities include 35 trails, that are carefully groomed and appropriate for all winter sports.
It also comprises Meadow Cafe, a complete rental, picnic tables, a new waxing hut, demo and retail facility, park benches, a sledding/tubing facility, 4 Trailside Huts and groomed downhill practice area. The elevation of 7000 to 7800 ft/2134 to 2377 m guarantees that cross country center is the first to open and the last to close.
