Sonora Pass is located near Pinecrest, Tuolumne County, California, USA. It is off of Highway about 60 mi/96.5 km east of Sonora.

One popular sport at Pinecrest Lake is cycling. In summer there is a little shopping area, available for bicycle rentals. There are two routes, ideal for cyclists. First route to cycle is along the Clark Fork Road. It is an 11 mi/17.7 km ride for cycling enthusiasts to enjoy the mild grade and the 1000 ft/304.8 m climbing, spread fairly along its length.

You can park near the bridge after turning onto the Clark Fork Road from Highway 108. Next follows a ride up to the end of the road at Iceberg Meadow. You can rest there and have a picnic, before heading back to your car. Second one to cycle is the Old Strawberry Road.

It is a narrow, shaded road that makes a nice ride. You can begin your ride in Strawberry or maybe at the upper end, where the road intersects Highway 108, just a mile east of Cold Springs by the Pinecrest School.

There is a 400 ft/122 m elevation drop at this 3 mi/4.8 km road, from Pinecrest School down to Stanislaus River at Strawberry and then rises a small grade to reach Highway 108.
