Dodge Ridge ski resort is located near Pinecrest, Tuolumne County, California, USA. It is off of Highway about 50 mi/80.5 km east of Sonora.
The resort is located in the Stanislaus National Forest. It is perfect for snowboarding, not only because of the snow, but also the location, as it is close to San Francisco Bay Area, Yosemite National Park and San Joaquin Valley. Snowsport season lasts from December to mid April.
Vertical drop is 1600 ft/487.7 m and average snowfall reaches up to about 300 to 500 in/762 – 1270 cm. Top elevation is 8200 ft/2499 m and base elevation 6600 ft/2012 m. Skiable area covers 852 ac/3.45 km² with 67 runs. From these runs 20% are for beginners, 40% for intermediate and 40% for advanced athletes.
Longest run is Stagecoach, a 2 mi/3.2 km long trail. There is a lift system of 12 lifts, 1 quad, 2 triples, 5 doubles, 4 surface lifts and 1 T-bar. Terrains are three, Progression, Stagecoach and Rocky’s Road. The resort doesn’t offer night snowboarding.
