Shotover River begins its course from the Southern Alps and runs through the magnificent Skippers Canyon before it merges with Kawarau River. Shotover River extends up to 60km/37mi and has many rapids, twists and turns. It is the ideal river for jet boating lovers. 360-degree spins, twists and turns offer the most thrilling jet boating experience.
The speed boats are equipped with two 750 horse power V8 engines and internal propellers, so they can reach up to 49 mi/80 km per hour. Prepare yourselves for the ultimate adrenaline rush. Enjoy the magnificent and wild scenery surrounding the river, as well as the breathtaking view while passing through the Skippers Canyon. Don’t forget to bring with you: camera, sunglasses, sunscreen and warm clothes.
