Wenatchee is the largest city of Chelan County, located in North Central Washington and lies on the west side of the Columbia River. The city is also known as the Apple Capital of the world, due to the valley's many apple cultivations.
Snow Creek Wall is located outside Leavenworth Town, at half an hour away from Webatchee. In order to approach the Outer Space Route, you park your car in the Snow Lake parking lot and start hiking towards the wall, for approximately one hour.
This climb is considered to be one of the best crag climbing areas of the Cascades. The top elevation of the rock is at 3900 ft/1188 m and is suitable for climbing from April to October. The skill level required for this climb is grade III, class 5,9, not suitable for beginners. Snow Creek offers a variety of climbs, including face and crack climbing. Outer Space is the most challenging one.
It hosts six pitches with low angle ramps, large and small ledges, thin finger cracks and so much more. Once you reach the top, you will meet with a large population of curious mountain goats. Snow Creek Wall is an exciting adventure for rock climbing enthusiasts. Take a 196 ft/60 m rope, stoppers and slings with you.
