Wenatchee is the largest city of Chelan County, located in North Central Washington and lies on the west side of the Columbia River. The city is also known as the Apple Capital of the world, due to the valley's many apple cultivations.
Castle Rock Climb is a beautiful crag in Tumwater Canyon, right outside Leavenworth Town, half an hour away from Wenatchee. It is one of the first spots in the area, that has been used as a practice crag. The top elevation of the rock is at 2100 ft/640 m and it is suitable for climbing from April to October.
The skill level required for this climb is grade I+, class 5,6, suitable for all skill levels. Castle Rock offers a variety of routes on rough and solid rock. As you climb higher, you can admire the Canyon and the Wenatchee River running below you. It is an exciting spot, perfect for traditional climbing. You will need a medium rack with you.
