Frenchman Coulee Climb is located just across the Columbia River, near George Town, at about an hour away from Wenatchee. The rocks have multiple zones of basalt cliffs, with over than 700 sport routes. The top elevation of the cliff is at 1200 ft/365 m and is perfect for climbing, all year round.
The skill level required for this climb is in grade 1, class 5.7. The best solid parts for rock climbing is where the rocks are steep and wet. Close to the top of the cliff, the rocks are getting looser and this is why many of the routes don’t go all the way up.
For a newcomer, Frenchman Coulee can be hard to figure out, where to climb and which route to follow.
