Wenatchee is the largest city of Chelan County, located in North Central Washington and lies on the west side of the Columbia River. The city is also known as the Apple Capital of the world, due to the valley's many apple cultivations.
Rock N’ Rattle Route or else Rattlesnake Rock, is located in Tumwater Mountain, outside Leavenworth Town, half an hour away from Wenatchee. It is a small rough granite cliff with bolt protected face climbs. The top elevation of the crag is at 1900 ft/579 m and it is suitable for climbing from April to October.
The skill level required for this climb is grade I, class 5,11+, not suitable for beginners. The route has many good quality sport steep climbs and many more to be discovered. Because of the difficult approach to Rock N’ Rattle Route by car, from a curvy Ranger Road, this place keeps its privacy and it is perfect, when combined with camping on this beautiful area on Tumwater Mountain. You will need a 196 ft/60 m rope and quick-draws with you and you are set to climb and descent almost all the routes.
