Wenatchee is the largest city of Chelan County, located in North Central Washington and lies on the west side of the Columbia River. The city is also known as the Apple Capital of the world, due to the valley's many apple cultivations.

Olalla Canyon route is located right outside the town of Cashmere, fifteen minutes away from Wenatchee Town. The ride is 11 mi/17.7 km long, out and back, with an elevation gain of 1600 ft/487 m. The difficulty level of this ride is in category two, not suitable for beginners.

The average gradient of the terrain is at 5,5% and the maximum at 11% which makes the route challenging. Olalla Canyon is a great climb, not very technically difficult, but requires a very good physical condition. On the way back, the descent is twisty and fun.

The route is a great opportunity for bicycle enthusiasts to escape the city and take a deep, refreshing breath of fresh, clean mountain air. Don’t forget to take with you water and a map.
