Wenatchee is the largest city of Chelan County, located in North Central Washington and lies on the west side of the Columbia River. The city is also known as the Apple Capital of the world, due to the valley's many apple cultivations.
Pole Ridge Trail is located on the Cascade Mountain, next to Wenatchee Lake. It is 12 mi/19 km long (loop trail) and has an elevation gain of 1680 ft/512 m. The trail for mountain bike is open from spring through fall and is suitable for all skill levels, but a good physical condition is important.
The road is dirt and gravel, in a good condition, but as you ride higher, it gets steeper. At some parts of the trail, there are no trees and you can enjoy some amazing views of the Cascade Mountains and Glacier Peak. Don’t forget to take with you water, energy snacks, a map and a compass.
