Wenatchee is the largest city of Chelan County, located in North Central Washington and lies on the west side of the Columbia River. The city is also known as the Apple Capital of the world, due to the valley's apple cultivations.
Mission Ridge Ski Resort is very close to the city. The base elevation is at 4570 ft/1393 m and the summit of the mountain is 6820 ft/2079 m high with a vertical drop of 2500 ft/762 m. The resort offers 36 designated runs that spread in over 2000 ac/8.10 km² of trails and 66 ac/0.27 km² of snow making.
It is known throughout the Northwest because of the quality of the powder snow and many days of sunshine.
