Naches is a small agricultural town in Yakima County, located in the Naches Valley, next to the Cascade Mountain and Wenatchee National Forest. White Pass ski resort is within few miles in the west of Naches Town.
The ski resort is perfect for snowshoeing for all skill levels and very well organized with an 11 mi/18 km of Nordic network. It is considered to be one of the most enjoyable trails in the Northwest. You walk through the Wenatchee and Grifford Pinchot National Forests, where you can admire unspoiled nature and alpine scenery on a double track trail.
The trail head elevation is 4500 ft/1371 m, it is accessible from late November until early April and is available for cross country skiing as well. If you wish to take lessons, rent snowshoeing gear and learn about the trail, there is a shop available at the Nordic Center Yurt near the trail head at the White Pass Ski Resort.
