Located in the Cascade Range, Mount Bailey, the rounded shield volcano offers great slopes and snow, attracting all kinds of winter sport fans.
Given the morphology of the mountain, it doesn’t acquire special skills to snowshoe, but you need to be adequately fit. Once you have climbed some of the mountain, you cannot miss the outstanding view and the beautiful alpine environment.
The elevation can reach up to 8363 ft/2549 m. The trail’s elevation is at 5800 ft/1767.8 m and the length is 9 mi/14.48 km. Overall there are 6000 ac/24.28 km² of terrain, ready to be explored at this area. You should come equipped with all the necessary gear, especially if you have planned a two day trip. Bare in mind that the weather conditions on this mountain are unpredictable and an avalanche can be produced, so be well informed and prepared even for such an event, before packing your bags.
