Kailua Kona is located in the North Kona District, Hawaii. It is a lively seaside town with sunny tropical weather all year long and lies at the bottom of the Hualalai Volcano.
The town hosts many interesting historical sites and is famous for its Kona Coffee cultivation and the crystal clear sea. Kona International Airport is located at fifteen minutes in the south of the main town. Kealakekua Bay is perfect for beginners and children. It has an average depth of 50 ft/15 m and maximum depth 100 ft/30.5 m with no current and medium visibility. The biodiversity of the bottom is interesting with a lot of colored tropical fish, eels, sea turtles, big rocks and corals.
