Garden Route is a popular stretch of the south-eastern coastline of South Africa. It is sand-witched between the Indian Ocean and the Outeniqua and Tsitsikamma Mountains. It offers a mild oceanic climate with mild to warm summers and mild to cool winters and considered second mildest climate after Hawaii according to the Guinness Book of Records.
Knysna Heads, a pair of brightly colored cliffs, lying at the mouth of the lagoon and flanking a deep channel through where the sea pours into the lagoon at the mouth of the Knysna River, provide with an amazing sailing adventure. Sailing through the heads is considered to be one of the most notoriously difficult sea passage in the world.
Enjoy the splendid scenic beauty of the lagoon with an experienced skipper while feasting your eyes to dolphins, seals, birds and in season whales. One can either choose to sail during the day, or go for one of the romantic sunset cruises. Day sails take around 1.5 hours while the evening cruises last for 2.5 hours.
