Cape Winelands is an area of vast vines and vineyards as the name suggests. Situated in the north east of Cape Town, it constitutes fertile green valleys, towns and villages surrounded by proud mountains. It is characterized by Mediterranean Climate and the winter rain contributes to the famous wine production which can be found in most of the world's corners.
Nestled within the Du Toitskloof Mountains, Limietberg Nature reserve offers an amazing abseiling adventure within a pristine natural environment. Abseiling here is open to both the novice and the expert. The adventure begins with a 15 minutes walk from the top of the mountain to the “Eye of the Smalblaar”, where the first two descents of an 8 series waterfall run down the mountain.
You then get to abseil two waterfalls which are 25 m/82 ft and 15 m/49 ft respectively. Once at the bottom of either of the waterfalls, you can choose to cool off or just walk out as it is easily accessible by foot. Minimum pax is 2 and maximum is 25.
