Shark Point, Clovelly
Clovelly is a beach-side suburb of Sydney, at about 8 km/4 mi in the south-east of Sydney's CBD (Central Business District).
‘Floripa’ is known as a tourist attraction due to its picturesque scenery, long tradition and history, its magnificent beaches ideal for scuba diving and its vibrant nightlife. The area has a great number of beautiful beaches giving a lot of alternatives to sportsmen. A scuba-divers’ hotspot is the Island of Arvoredo, located northerly of Santa Catarina, in Atlantic Ocean and well-known for providing the best underwater sights and diving experiences that Floripa and generally Brazil can offer.
The island of Arvoredo is classified as Biological Reserve since 2003 and scuba diving can be practiced only in the southern part of the island. Despite restrictions and special permit is required since it is a protected area, the dive sites will reward your efforts. The dive there tend to be demanding and the average depth is approximately 49.2 ft/15 m where in some points touch the 98.4 ft/30 m.
The marine life in these waters is quite vibrant and the variety of the reef fish is very reach. Nocturnal diving is possible. There are plenty of diving schools all over the area, so you don’t have to worry about lessons or equipment.
