The main climbing area is located further at the north of the beach, below Williams Park. A lot of rock climbing enthusiasts consider this place to be as one of the best sea crags of Sydney because of the selection of its grades.
To get there, walk through the golf course, until you hit the edge of the sea cliff. There is a number of gully systems that drop down to the northern end of the wall, with several descent options.
Graded between 16 and 26 and classified as easy to hard, the spot is suitable for all different levels. The climbing here is vertical, bolted with slightly overhanging and with 15 routes among the grades. The walls can seep for a few days after heavy rain, so it is advisable to wear helmets. The spot is great in winter.
Last but not least, the crag is sunny in the morning. Note: best routes are Grand Mal, Plumber’s Mate and Arapiles.
