Thabela Thabeng mountain biking trail is situated in between the mountains and the Vaal River amidst the Vredefort Dome. It offers a breathtaking biking experience and even hosted the South African MTB National race in 1997. The trail is a 10 km/6.2 mi long return route.
Go deep into the mountains by going up the cliff in Thabela Thabeng and catch a breath of fresh air, as you admire the amazing breathtaking scenery. The trail head is the Thabela Thabeng Mountain Retreat and the tour lasts between 1-2 hours long. The trail consists of mainly jeep tracks, downhills and hairpin bends with riding good all year through.
