Mooloolaba is a popular tourist destination, located at 97 km/60 mi north of Brisbane, the capital state. Mooloolaba provides a port with its marinas, beautiful ocean beaches, a vast number of quality restaurants, stylish cafe and great bars.

Mooloolaba Beach is located in lee of Point Cartwright and it is considered to be the safest beach on Sunshine Coast. The spot caters for a variety of facilities, including Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club, a large car park, BBQ facilities and playgrounds for the kids. Mooloolaba is a beach break that is suitable for all surfers. Here you are able to explore the waves with swell sizes that can hold up to 3 m/10 ft.

The best wind direction is from the southwest and the ideal swell direction is from the east. In addition, the best tide position is all tides. The average water temperature is around 28°C/82.4°F in summer and around 20°C/68°F in winter. In summer, the wind blows offshore at 35%, in autumn the wind blows at 57%, in winter at 44% and in spring at 30%. It is a popular surf location, so it is usually very crowded.

Last but not least, apart from surfing you can take a short coastal walk or jogging from Mooloolaba Esplanade to the Mooloolaba Rock wall and enjoy the amazing view of the sea. Note: be careful of rips.
