Mandurah is the second-largest city in Western Australia and it is situated at about 72 km/45 mi in the south of the capital city, Perth. The climate is classified as Mediterranean, with hot and dry summers and cool and wet winters. Dotties is an exposed beach break, located close to Halls Head. Here you are able to explore the waves with swell sizes, starting from 1 m-1.5 m/3 ft-5 ft and holding up to 2 m/6 ft. The spot offers left hand waves and the best wind direction is from the east. In summer, the wind blows offshore at 25%, in autumn the wind blows at 40%, in winter at 40% and in spring at 26%.
Furthermore, the surf break is suitable for surfers of all levels. The best tide movement is rising and falling tides and the ideal tide position is mid and high tides. It should be mentioned that, Dotties is a nice place for surfers who hate beach crowds.
