One of the reasons that the city is so popular among mountain bikers is Bikepark Tirol. Situated in the vicinity of Innsbruck, Bikepark Tirol is a huge facility with many different types and trails for mountain biking. One of the most challenging tours in the region, being also the most rewarding one due to the beautiful mountain panorama, is in Trins (MTB Signage: Tour No. 577). This 9 km /5.1 mi long tour is characterized by the length and the steeper climbs.
For those who dare to challenge their limits, their effort is rewarded with a ride through blooming mountain meadows and marmots up close. The beginning of the route is at the town center near the church Trins which is at an altitude of 1220 m /4002 ft. The route leads through a forest path to the Padasterjochhaus at an altitude of 2232 m /7322 ft high.
It will be a 2 ½ hours hard driveway with an altitude difference of 1020 m /3346 ft. It is a very hard trail that you should definitely try! You should be in a perfect physical condition. If you get tired with riding, you can try a traditional snack at Padasterjochhaus. So grab your mountain bike and just ride!!
