Sierra Nevada's ski resort lies on Veleta peak in the Granada part of the mountain. Your starting point is at Prodollano from where the first lifts would lead you to the main hub in Borreguiles, at an elevation of 457 m/1500 ft above the main village.
Borreguiles is surrounded by beginner terrain with easy slopes at 2102 m/6896 ft of altitude and a total of 1200 m/3937 ft of vertical drop. At Borreguiles, there are two lifts from Prodollano and up to 6 chairlifts, t-bars, magic carpets and handle tows to move you around.
There are a lot of trails to choose, from easy to medium and advanced ones. Experienced cross country skiers will love the area and the paths. Take some time to explore around and the mountain. Organize trips at Veleta peak or nearby mountains. With plenty of training schools, it’s the perfect spot for beginners. There are a lot of shops to buy, repair or even rent your equipment.
