Goa is one of the most visited and famous places in India since the 60's. Located on the West Coast of the country and fronted by the Arabian Sea, it boasts an amazing coastline with sandy beaches, as well as rich landscapes and tropical forests. Once a Portuguese colony, Goa is an interesting blend of cultures and architectures and is considered to be one of the hotspot destinations in the world for both party goers and spiritual seekers.

Arambol Beach is situated in the northern part of Goa, close to Arambol Village and is an unspoiled, sandy beach that still remains unaffected by mass tourism and big hotel constructions. Favored with a coastline of 9.9 mi/16 km long, the beach is defined by huge coconut trees, amazing cliff formations and a jungle valley, home to a wide variety of local wildlife and the amazing  Banyan trees.

The climate in the area is tropical monsoon with hot and humid temperatures all year round. The monsoon season starts from early June and cools off the hot temperatures, while it lasts until late September. The best season to visit the spot is on February, March and April to May, when the winds build up, because of the upcoming rain season.

The thermal, north west winds are consistent and reach a speed of up to 13 kn/4 bf, while they change into side onshore during the afternoon hours. Since kite surfing is only starting to develop in Goa and the beach is ideal for all skill level kiters, it is never crowded and you can play for as long as you like, anywhere you like, with your kite and the waves.

Although Arambol Beach is perfect for beginners, there are no schools operating on the spot for the time being. However, it is very likely to find locals or visitors, that would be more than happy to help you, if you are kitting for the first time. Gear can be rented by a school operating on Morjim Beach, about 6 mi/10 km away.
