The center offers camping with new and sanitary facilities. It is a recreational center where many sports events are taking place on the spot. The area is located directly on the lake and has a club house, a boat dock, a boat slip and 2 surf racks. The beach is sandy with rocks and you can park your car at the free parking lot next to the water. One of the most popular sports that can be practiced in Erlichsee is Kite-boarding.
Average air temperature is cold in winter and hot in summer. The wind speed is about 7 knots/8 mph, it varies through the seasons though. The wind direction in its optimum form is west, northwest which makes ideal conditions for kite-boarding. Although it is a great spot for water sports, it is not very crowded with kite-boarders.
The following classes of boats are the authorized SCOR and they are placed at the docks: Hobie Cat, Laser, Strale, 470, Corsair and surfboards. Annually 3 – 4 regattas are taking place for over two days using the above instead of boats.
