Pennan is a small settlement at 70 km / 43 mi away from Aberdeen.
This place is built across the beach and the best time for visiting is from April to October. Usually during summer, the beach gets too busy and the car park might be limited to few free places.
The wind here is pretty constant and you can find most of the time during a week perfect conditions for kite-surfing. You can get a good swell in every wind direction and waves can reach up to 3 m/9.8 ft.
Although Pennan is small, it does boast a couple of bed and breakfast, a shop and a pub. While visiting the spot, you should bring your own equipment and best time is during weekdays when the beach is less busy.
