Trinidad and Tobago is an island country that is situated just off the coast of northeastern Venezuela. Both Trinidad and Tobago islands surprise visitors with their unspoiled natural beauty that is not found in most of the other Caribbean islands. The climate here is classified as tropical with two seasons annually, the dry and rainy season and the winds are usually influenced by the northeast trade winds. The islands are known not only for their beautiful sandy beaches, but also for their carnivals.
Whether you are looking for a tropical holiday destination, where you can relax and enjoy the coral sandy beaches or seeking a top sports destination, Tobago has it all! Favored by the weather and the excellent water conditions, this island provides a wide range of watersports. Pigeon Point or Pigeon Point Heritage Park is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and not without a reason.
It is a long and wide beach with fantastic white sand and amazing clear blue waters. It is located at the south end of the island and it is very popular among windsurfers and kiters. The ideal time for kitesurfing here is from December through April, when constant winds blow between 12 to 20 knots/22.2 to 37 kph. The site accommodates practitioners of all experience levels. The ideal period for beginners and intermediate kiters is from August to December, at low tide, as the water is very smooth and shallow. You can kitesurf with winds blowing from the east and northeast.
Note that there is an entry charge to access the spot, but it’s worth the money. Finally, the location offers a number of facilities, including showers, bathrooms and parking.
