The sandy beach is located on the west part of the island, right opposite Antiparos island and it is fully organized with kite schools, beach bars and many more facilities. It is one of the most popular beaches on the island and attracts the water sports enthusiasts, as well as the party goers.
The sea is crystal clear with shallow waters and sandy bottom, while the steady side shore winds come from North, Northwest, range from 12 to 27 knots/22 to 50 kph and blow all day long. You can kite board on Punda Beach all year round, but the best season is certainly during summer, when the weather and the sea temperature are warm and you don’t need to wear a wet suit.
