Another activity that Oberhausen is famous for is Skateboarding. Oberhausen has a multi activity park itself, but many skateboarders are having a blast in Essen, at only 11 km/6 mi away from Oberhausen at Bowl Essen Kray.
The skate park is an urban area specialized in outdoor skating. The experience level of the park is intermediate but experienced skaters can “take it easy” for a while and have fun skating. Although it serves a lot of skaters, it is long enough not to be crowded even in weekends.
Skatepark’s features are a bowl. There is no access fee. Safety always comes first, so pads and helmet are mandatory. The park doesn’t offer any after dark skateboarding experiences.
