Glenshee lies on the border of Aberdeenshire and Perthshire in the Cairngorm National Park.
Mountains’ altitude can reach up to 1245 m / 4084 ft, so expect to find rough conditions with sudden weather changes. Practitioners need to be aware that possible hill evacuation may occur, due to these harsh weather conditions, registered for the spot. Glenshee center offers extensive ski facilities with 22 lifts and 36 runs.
Among the ski runs, there are quite a few black runs. There is a car park at 650 m/2132 ft above sea level and in order to reach it, you have to follow the A93 road. There are also facilities to eat and drink in the ski center, but it’s open till 5 o’clock.
Accommodation is not a problem as there are many places around like Blairgowrie, Alyth, Kirkmichael and the Spittal, where such services are provided.
