Sugar Bowl ski resort is a ski area in northern Placer County, near Norden, along Donner Pass of Sierra Nevada, at about 46 mi/74 km from Reno on Interstate 80, California, USA. The resort was opened on the 15th of December, 1939.
It is a medium sized ski area around Lake Tahoe, which makes it perfect for skiers. The resort is known for its significant advanced terrain and high annual snowfall. Top elevation of the resort is at 8383 ft/2555 m and base elevation is at 6883 ft/2098 m. Skiable area covers 1500 ac/6.07 km².
