Queenstown is considered by many sportsmen as the capital of extreme sports and adventure activities. It is situated in Otago region, in the South Island, New Zealand.

One of the biggest ski resorts near Queenstown is Coronet Peak at 16 km/9 mi towards northeast. The site is open from early July to mid-September and offers a great variety of facilities.
