Sierra at Tahoe is about 16 mi/25.7 km south of state line, Nevada and 12 miles south of South Lake Tahoe on Highway 50. The resort is inside Eldorado National Forest. Sierra at Tahoe is perfect for snowboarding. The resort has 2000 ac/8.1 km² of skiable area with 46 runs.
From these runs 25% are for beginners, 50% for intermediate and 25% for advanced athletes. Longest run is Sugar n’ Spice, which is 2.5 mi/4 km long. Vertical drop is 2212 ft/674.2 m and average snowfall 480 in/1219 cm. Top elevation is 8852 ft/2698 m and base elevation 6640 ft/2024 m.
It owns a lift system of 11 lifts, 3 high speed quads, 1 triple chair, 5 double chairs and 2 surface lifts. Terrain parks are 6, Burton Progression, The Alley, Aspen, Smokey Boarder X Upper Snowshoe and  Bashfull.
