Marconi Beach is located in the southeast side of Massachusetts and it is a part of the Cape Cod National Seashore, which stretches in an area of 109 mi/176 km long. Being by the ocean side of the Cape, the spot represents one of the best beaches for surfing and boogie boarding in this area.
Its popularity grows more and more every day and lots of people come to visit in order to test their strength in their favorite extreme sport. During the week it is less crowded, but on the weekends it gets pretty busy. The good thing is that there is plenty of space.
The beach is exposed to strong wind, so you can find some powerful waves there, measuring up to 150 m/492 ft long. It makes an ideal spot for surfers. A special characteristic of this place is the flat beach, which has been shaped in its current form by the low tide.
A lot of skimboarders drop their board on Marconi Beach for this reason. The water in this area is quite shallow, making it ideal for beginners. On the other hand, there are so many miles of open beach in Cape Cod that there are plenty of nice surfing spots for different levels of experience.
Cape Cod has fair weather conditions, but there are times that the spot is being hit by extreme weather conditions.
