Located on the South Shore of Long Island and being the largest urban beach in the United States, Rockaway Beach is the best summer destination. It is a neighborhood on the Rockaway Peninsula in the New York City borough of Queens. Because of the Irish American population, the spot is also known as the "Irish Riviera".

What this place does is to fill everyone with enthusiasm. Rockaway Beach is home of Woody Allen’s Radio Days film and the subject of the “Rockaway Beach” song by the Ramones music band. The incredible view of the Atlantic Ocean makes millions of visitors cheerful every year. The beach itself  is the city’s only legal surfing beach, which entertains all challenging surfers. 

The most appropriate places to exercise your favorite activity are 67-69 street and 87-92 street. Its beach-break type enables all surfers of ability to practice their sport at any time of the year. The beach-break offers mainly left hand waves. Offshore winds blow from the northwest. The best wind direction comes from northwest. The spot tends to have a mix of groundswells and wind swells. However, the best swell direction is at east.
