Perth is the capital city of Western Australia, located on the Swan River. The climate here is classified as Mediterranean, with hot and dry summers and cool and wet winters. There is a vast number of great surf sites on the south coastline of the metropolitan area. Secret Harbour is an exposed beach break, situated at 2 km/1.2 mi in the north of Golden Bay. The spot offers very reliable surf conditions, with both left and right hand waves. Surfers are able to explore the waves with swell sizes that can start from 1 m-1.5 m/3 ft-5 ft and hold up to 4 m/12 ft.

The best wind direction is from the east, northeast and the ideal swell direction is from the west, southwest. In addition, the surf break is suitable for all surfers. In summer, the wind blows offshore at 25%, in autumn the wind blows at 40%, in winter at 40% and in spring at 26%. Furthermore, the ideal time for surfing is around high tide. Last but not least, Secret Harbor is usually crowded, especially during weekends. Note: be careful of sharks and rips.
