Perth is the capital city of Western Australia, located on the Swan River. The climate here is classified as Mediterranean, with hot and dry summers and cool and wet winters. Yanchep beach apart from an interesting dive site, is also a sand-bar that offers very consistent surf conditions to the surfers. This spot offers both right and left hand waves. Offshore winds blow from the east, northeast and the ideal swell direction is from the west, southwest.

Surfers are able to explore the waves with swell sizes that can start from 1.5 m-2 m/5 ft-6 ft and holds up to 4 m/12 ft. In addition, the best tide position is mid tide and the ideal tide movement is rising tide. Furthermore, the site is suitable for all surfers.

Keep in mind that, Yanchep beach is usually crowded with divers, snorkelers and other surfers. Last but not least, the location provides a number of facilities, including a large car park and a kiosk.
